Pavano Hid Broken Ribs!

Carl Pavano hid the fact that he broke two ribs in an auto accident two weeks ago and the Yankees are none too happy with that.

"I think it's obviously frustrating, disappointing. There's a lot of words which would come to mind," Cashman said. "Of course I'm angry. ... I've got an army of people here that we provide to put our players in the best position possible to succeed, and I don't want anybody to sabotage that by holding back. And clearly here, for a period of time that took place."

I would say that Cashman being pissed is putting it mildly. The Yankees forked over $39.95 million for four years for Pavano to actually pitch for them and so far he has spent the majority of the time he has been with the Yanks on the DL for one ailment or another.

This latest incident is just bizarre in that he chose to keep it a secret from the Yankees and certainly doesn't put him in a good light with any of the Yankee brass.
